Six Healing Sounds

Is a very old traditional exercise dating back to the Taoist Monks in 200 BC. Each sound is associated with a particular body organ and the vibrations made from that sound stimulate the organ’s function. Based on this, the practice of this exercise can assist in regulating the blood and Qi circulation to achieve a balance of Yin and Yang in the body.

This exercise is a simple yet powerful tool to promote energy levels, physical and emotional healing and balance. Regular daily practice of the Six Healing Sounds will help you with chronic diseases, blood and Qi circulation, improving cardiovascular and respiratory function, and improving reaction times. It is very flexible exercise as you can practice all six sounds in order or only practice specific sounds to treat specific conditions in the body.

Essential Stretch Routine

Faye’s essential stretch routine was developed from her years of training in Wushu, Tai Chi and Qigong. We all know how important it is to relax when performing Tai Chi and Qigong. But what does it mean to relax and how do we know when our body is relaxed? Effective stretch routine can help to avoid injury and help the body to truly relax for Tai Chi & Qigong practices.

Lao Tzu said in his classic book “Tao De Ching”
“Man when living is soft and tender;
When dead is hard and tough.
All animals and plants when living are tender and soft;
When dead they become withered and dry.
Therefore it is said:
The hard and tough are part of death;
The soft and tender are part of life.”

Yi Jin Jing Health Qigong

Is an exercise derived from Dao Yin Qigong consisting of 12 movements that are performed in a standing position. It is simple to learn and suitable for people of all ages. It is the most renowned and popular of all the classic Chinese Qigong meditation exercises. Yi = Change, Jin = Tendons, Jing = Methods. Yi Jin Jing is therefore translated as Tendon Changing Exercises. It is renowned for assisting in pain relief in the muscles, ligaments and tendons in the neck, shoulders and back. Regular practice promotes physical and mental well-being, prevents illness, strengthens the body, helps improve balance and coordination and prolongs life.

Daoyin Yangsheng Gong 12 Fa

Is a new set of Qigong exercises that combines Daoyin with healthcare, limb exercises, and mental and spiritual relaxation. Adapted from over 50 forms it consists of 12 steps, which flow harmoniously from one movement to the next. It has become one of the treasures of health Qigong. It was designed and compiled by the Chinese Health Qigong Association and is based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It concentrates on the Zang Fu organs comprising the heart, liver, spleen lung and kidney and gall bladder, stomach small intestine, large intestine and bladder; the meridians, balancing yin and yang, the Five Elements, Qi and blood.

It can be practiced in both seated and standing positions. Movements are graceful and easy to learn and are suitable for all ages. When breathing exercises are integrated into Yangsheng, the movements are effective for promoting good health, preserving life and cultivating the spirit and prolonging life expectancy.

Madam Faye Li Yip

A highly accomplished female master and a passionate teacher of Tai Chi & Qigong, Faye Li Yip was born in a famous martial arts family. The most popular 24 Form Taijiquan and the Tai Chi Kungfu Fan are among a number of widely followed Tai Chi forms created by her family.

A long-term advocator for dissemination of traditional Chinese culture, she sees Tai Chi & Qigong a form of holistic medicine that can improve one’s quality of life both physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. With her husband Tary, Faye founded Deyin Taijiquan Institute and British Health Qigong Association. Both NGOs have become the most successful teacher training organisations in the UK.

In 2016, she was invited to teach Tai Chi and Health Qigong at the Presidential Palace for His Excellency President Higgins and First Lady of Ireland. In 2014, she was invited to deliver tai chi workshop at the World Economic Forum Summer Davos Annual Meeting and participate as a guest speaker in expert discussions. As a talented performer, Faye organised multiple large-scale performances with her students, including the Queen’s Diamond Celebration, 2012 pre-Olympic London Qigong display and live display at the FA Championship soccer match as well as a number of shows at London prestigious West End Theatres.

She currently serves as a board member of the International Health Qigong Federation Executive Committee and TCUGB Executive Committee, the President of British Health Qigong Association and the Dean of the Deyin Taijiquan Institute (GB).
